The show simultaneously displays the limitations of existing models of sex education (from schools, religious institutions, family) while offering a more inclusive, joy-based sex ed.
In the creation of Clown Sex Ed, Zach and Tara worked with local sex educators, utilized resources from Planned Parenthood and Advocates for Youth’s 3Rs curriculum, and their own experiences navigating sex and intimacy.
